Dhamma Tracks
Our embodied energy connects the material to the mental realm. Embodied energy runs through the stirring, stress, calm and gladdening of our entire nervous system: if it’s distorted, it inflames and corrupts the mind; if it’s healthy, it clears it. Accordingly, a trained focus on the energy associated with breathing offers a means to calm, brighten, understand and clear states of mind (and heart).

Instructions – Sitting, moving, reclining meditation (13:08) Palilai Buddhist Temple, Singapore; 20 Apr 2023
Resetting Your World (55:48) IMS Forest Refuge, USA; 29 Nov 2018
Referring to the Madhupindika Sutta, The Honeyball (MN18), Ajahn Sucitto describes a two-fold training to get a handle on and curtail mental proliferation. Citta can be trained through deliberate attention to starve afflictive intentions, and to instead establish pāramī tendencies towards renunciation, clarity and patience.
